Blue Eye Video R&D's team is composed of experts in the domains of image processing and Informations Technologies. Years of experiences regarding waiting time queues and passengers flows analysis in the transport area has lead to a unique skill. Understanding the environment is the minimum requirement to have in order to answer customer requirements. Thus, we have now make the use of « state of the art » image processing technologies possible.

Innovative technologies and algorithms are efficient when they are integrated in IT systems. One of our main concern is to propose new solutions that are simple as possible to integrate. No complex interfaces, the system should act as a « black box » where only crucial informations should be visible. So user interfaces and communication protocols suit the needs provided by integrators.

People in the R&D team are not always focussed on the same domain in order to acquire experience and have a new vision. Most of the problems are solved by using ideas from another domains.

For nearly 10 years, we propose people counting solutions in transportations areas. From analogs cameras associated with a server to the smart sensors technologies, we have shown our capacity to propose and develop solutions and technologies more powerful.

Thanks to the research led on the tracking technologies and people detection in the transportation area, we have acquired experience in that domain where we propose unique solutions. The example that illustrate the most our capacity to propose innovative solutions is the people queue counting case. At first, we have proposed to solved the « numbering » solution with people sensor counting at entries and exits (2005). During one year of analysis, we have proven that such an approach is so restrictive that we had to find another way. In 2006, we had develop the direct measurement technology. We are now capable of measuring the number of person in the queue independently of the entries and exits locations. We can manage large area with multiple queues, the one next to the others. We can handle small or high ceilings environments and use existing materials.

We know that anticipation is a key factor in flow passenger management. For many years, we had analysed counting data in order to propose solutions as accurate as possible. We have the scientific understanding of the people queue such as people flow variation at exits, overflowing queues and waiting time evolution.

One of our main strength is to always be in evolution and always learning new technologies. Our capacity to handle many different domain leads today to a complete solution. As examples we had worked in the automotive domain (PICS Out of bound passenger detection), with the rail transportations (SAS VH) and in the electronic area (Prometheus). We are also capable of giving a technical expertise in the large domain of image processing technologies in real word environment.

We use a global network of business partner to deliver and support our solution installation. Our strategy allow us to focus on the innovation and the support of our partners.
